The Score (2025) is an improvised contemporary dance work with live music that drew audiences in to reflect on their physical experiences of navigating fight, flight and freeze responses. Through her understanding of the polyvagal theory, Tanya developed the improvisational score which proposes that the role of the body in holding memories and in the development of the sense of self. Using wearable art as costumes and swathes of silk textiles the fabric play acts as an extension of the emotions the dance expresses.

The Score was developed and performed with musician Belinda Gehlert and dancers Fern Mines, Amelia Watson and Queenie Wu.
