Dance Artist Tanya Voges has been drawn to create marks that capture the energy of a movement and the trace of the otherwise ephemeral dance. Her practice in presence and site responsive work has brought her works out of the theatre and into gallery and alternative spaces.
The accompanying video documentation is an extract of these works:
ISOLATE (Holy Rollers Gallery, Psychache exhibition Performance Art event for SALA Festival 2018)
Neverending Line (Visual Artist Kellie O'Dempsey Performance Art event in the Artplay Space of National Gallery of Australia with dance artist Alison Plevey, 2018)
Circles (Choreography Across Disciplines Showing, Mentor Ame Henderson (CAN) hosted by The Mill, Adelaide 2017)
Vestiges (Collaboration with Kellie O'Dempsey at Critical Path, Sydney 2014)
...and the pendulum (IOU Dance 2014 Season at Carriageworks, Sydney)

Tanya has delivered dance/drawing and movement/mark making workshops to diverse communities through ACE Open, Carclew’s POM POM, South Australian Museum, Guildhouse and Shifting and Stirring online professional development workshops.

Two performance drawing works created for the camera are submitted into film festivals and exhibitions and will be available for more screening opportunities in the second half of 2021. Please contact for inclusion in your festival or exhibition.
